So, I had another P71 fly past me at relatively low speeds today.

*Zips up flamesuit*

They have more audible presence at low speeds than most new sports sedans do. These things sound mean as hell, minimal muffling and even with the windows up I could audibly hear that thing pass me. It was LOUD. I’m really going to miss these things once they’re all gone.

I drove our company Econoline E150 yesterday and its got dat 4.6. I floored it just to replicate the sound of being on a standard episode of COPS.

I love the panthers. They have decent get up and go at higher speeds, but they are dogs in town. You can’t compare them with mustangs and the like for sure, but I have had fun with many a commonor that thinks they could outdo my stock grand marquis and all they saw was it pulling away effortlessly.

But, it is slow... I am thinking about procharging mine down the line... But doing it is another thing all together. I can imagine the faces of people when I step on the gas then though. It still won’t pull away from mustangs and such at around 350whp, but if they don’t put their feet in it they won’t get past as quick as they thought they would. Ultimate sleeper. I’d leave the 2.73 RAR though, but turn it into a LSD. I am not willing to give up on that 80mph cruise at a tad below 2K rpm. And the fact it will run 100mph in second (with a slightly higher shift point) just makes it that much more awesome.

Ill partially agree. At idle and low rpm, mod does sound better. At higher RPM, LS sound’s better.

That’s the good thing about the P71, 3.7 or something rear axle, no floaty air suspension and other performance improvements.
